The Camp Chartwell Committee is looking for interns aged 13 and above to assist the facilitators in the running of a series of innovative arts activities (Visual Arts, Music, Dance and Theatre), in guiding and taking care of the participants, aged 5-10. You will play a very important supporting role throughout the camp!
Interns are expected to be responsible, patient when dealing with the children, and able to think and respond quickly when the situation calls for it. You won’t be required to have any prior experience in the arts, but a healthy dose of creativity and enthusiasm would definitely be of use.
This internship will give you extremely valuable experience in the planning of events (you will be heavily involved in Camp Chartwell’s acclaimed end-of-camp showcase), collaboration with others, and working with young children. Working alongside our team of experienced and passionate facilitators, you will not only gain organizational skills, but also a great deal of artistic exposure.
You will not be paid for this internship. However, all meals and transport will be provided free of charge, and a fun and enriching time guaranteed.
The details are as follows:
Date: 3-6 June 2013, 9am-5.30pm
Location: Goodman Arts Centre (90 Goodman Road)
